The 4 th of august I received a call from my dear blogfriend Renny BA! He said:
« Hello Claudie, it’s Renny! We arrive all in ten minutes in ollioules!»
It was the first time I heard the voice of Renny BA, the famous blogfriend from Norway. You imagine how impresse I was!
So I met them all in the center of the town! Renny Ba and Diane CA, Tor RA and Anna from Oslo and our famous Captain, I say, Mrs Lifecruiser and her husband Mr Lifecruiser!!!!
It was the begining of a real gathering after more than two years of virtual meetings fast each day.
It was a great moment full of emotion.
And finally we arrived at home where Pierre was waiting for us with a nice aperitif provençal:
as pictures speak more than words … I say no more!

It was the begining of a nice gathering with bloggers who like their virtual world but still more the reality!

I think to Heather from US and Mar from Spania who would want to be at the gathering South of France 2009. But it was a first step and if in a first time I would want everyone at home I realised in a second time it is not so easy even if I have a fabulous Chef called Pierre near me.
I hope in the future a meeting with Heather, Mar and of course our Gattina from Waterloo. Perhaps not in the same time so that I will have more fun along the year!
I suggere you visit The Gathering Bloggers to have an idea about the fabulous moments we had!
We thank you again for being such a good host! And of course to Pierre for helping out with the cooking! We had a once in a lifetime experience and loved it the whole time. A great success for all I would say!
Oh the food and the company looks so wonderful! What a fabulous event!
Thanks to you Diane for planning this visit by us in Provence. It was a pleasure to receive our dear blogfriends from Norway and Sweden. A good melting of cultures and it was really great!
Thanks for visiting my blog Maribeth! I remember you and the goodtime we had visiting each others with the Lifecruiser Tour!
I do agree Claudie; It was very special to hear your voice on the phone for the first time – then to meet you and Pierre and experience your warm hearted hospitality! It was a fun, emotional, sensational, adventures experience – really a once in a lifetime!
Thanks for taking the chance; to invite us, to open your home for us and for making this blog gathering like an unforgettable adventure. Pierre is a great chef – you are a wonderful guide and together you are wonderful hosts.
We hope to see you in Scandinavia in a year or so and in the mean time, we have all this wonderful memories to dwell on dear friends!
à bientôt!
oh Renny, i really agree with you. It was a high time, a marvelous meeting between people who speak together and have real knowledge about themselves since the time they began blogging together. It is really different with an ordinary meeting. more, the different cultures together made something very special each others explaning to the others their vision in different way. It was so rich and so funny!
Pierre took great time cooking for us all as it is his passion above all.
Not several time in the day we speak together about you all.

Yes, Felisa! Such fun we had!!! It was a long time I didn’t enjoy like that as we were every day and a big part of the night together!
Je suis presque sans mots. Notre rencontre etait une reveille.
It was a fabulous meeting, and I do not have words enough to express nos sentiments . Anna and me fell in love with both of you. You are really some extrodinary people, rich of culture, joy and givingness.
We will never, ever forget our first meeting, the sightseeings, beach-trips, brunches and the evenings and nights with converasations, excellent food from master-chef Pierre, the wine, pastis, champagne.
I’m sure we will meet again. (Hopefully then I’ll speak better French)
We really do miss you.
hugs and kisses the French way to you and Pierre.
Anna and Tor
PS. I hope you understood my poor French when we were together.
btw. I’ll post from our Vacation – more or less day by day. Which means you have to be patient until we are back in Ollioules again – on the blog. My last post is from Son et Lumiére at Place Stanislas in Nancy.
The world needs more of these kind of meetings! Bless you!
@Tor Aa
Il y a encore l’aïoli, la paélla, les escargots… so many recipes you have to taste still!
J’adore les festivités sons et lumières et j’espère qu’un jour nous aurons l’occasion d’en voir une tous ensemble!!!
Yes, you’re right and I think internet offers this possibilty and it would sad to stay alone without seeing one day the blogfriends you like and you speak with and have fun during several years.
CLAUUUUUUUUUDIE!!!
That. Food. Looks. SO. Good. I’m. Jealous.
Oh claudie, I wish I were there… Looks so fun! Except that it would take you some troubles to prepare me some vegetarian food.
Hello Kyh
Of course if we have the chance you visit us don’t worry i know you are vegetarian! We have many recipes with fruits and vegetables!
