My cicada thermometer tell me temperature of the air is : 28 ° c at 22.54 pm in the livingroom when all the windows are opened!
Temperature is warm and don’t be angry with me if I don’t blog as much as I could. We are just like poor things drinking fresh water all the day and hidding somewhere in houses often unter the fresh shower!
Some prefer staying in the fridge!

The 18 th of august I went to Paris as Mélissa arrived Gare Montparnasse from le Portugal. luckely it was still cool in Paris with the temperature and in the middle of the crowd I was sitting on a bench and without be disturbing by all the noise in the trainstation I took my bookfriend « Petits suicides entre amis» by Arto Paasilinna waiting Mélissa.
I really ask me how people who live there and work at the trainstation can support everyday all that stress! I had only an idea coming back and going away from all this pertubation!!! There was still like in CDG airport a bomb alert and soldats were walking along with their guns!!!
Mélissa and the other teenagers were in form even if they had taken the train in Lisbonne the 17 st of august and arrived in Paris the 18st of august at 16:16 pm!
And now we had again to take a bus, and after another TGV in Gare de Lyon and return to Toulon!
Then Mélissa told me all (not all I think) her trip from the begining in Guimaraes to Porto and Lisbonne! The night club in lisbonne and the invasion of fleas at the camping!!!
Then she felt sleeping after her girlfriend went out in Marseille and I wake up the poor Mélissa when we arrived in Toulon!
Girlfriends of mélissa in Le Portugal : life during the treck in Le Portugal! Mamamilla!
My daughters and even Anaïs who lives in the center of Finland now, asked me about my vikings invasion in august! I told them the atmosphere around the table, speaking english all together, learning and learning from each others. And the walks in Le Castellet middle age Village, the beach, the visit through Toulon, the exhibition of painting….
I was very proud to show Mélissa all the gifts I received from my nice Cruisers!

The magical Aqua Vista, the special beautiful knife to cut the cheese, the book about sweden and the cooking book , the CD about Stockholm the keychain of Stockolm and the mobilphonechain and my swedish dictionary The Captain and Mr Lifecruiser prepared for us! and and of course the precius bottle of Dom Perignon but empty now!!!
and again I recover my special night job: I want to say Claudie the Taxi since I will have to drive back home Mélissa who is actually at Joanna birthday!!!
I wish you all a marvelous end of week and Mélissa send you a little of the Provence sun!

Don’t miss the last post Gathering blogfriends South of Provence by Renny! and this one by Diane!
Oh it has been so hot here in New Hampshire, USA, too. I look forward to the Autumn when things cool down again!
i see on your blog your little lady need shadow like us and the puppies will too!
Good to know Mélissa is back home, safe and sound. I’m sure she had a lot to tell about her adventures, but of course she must be allowed to keep some in secret too
Say thanks to Mélissa for lending out her bed room to us at our blog gathering!
Claudie; This post also brings back memories from our wonderful stay at your and Pierre’s house! I so much remember the garden where Mélissa is unpacking and the clothesline where we hung our bathing suits! Those where the days!
Thanks for the link love to my post from Le Castelle. It was great to be there, guided by you and it’s really nice to put together posts and recall our adventures. To make it short: You and Pierre made our Blog Gathering a blast
@renny
Yes, mélissa is back home and now the house is full of girlfriends, friends and music!!! She was very glad to learn you liked her bedroom and Jimmy Hendrix! Of course she has many many secrets stories!!! I just know one part of the iceberg and it is surely better for us, parents!!
It was a real pleasure for me to guide you. And i remembered how many magical time we had at this middle age place and the best at Le Roy d’Ys, the restaurant; I can still remember the taste of my cup of hydromel, the drink of gods!
How nice to have your little one back ! She certainly had a lot to tell ! and of course you too about the Viking invasion over your house !
Yes Gattina! Mélissa is really now here! I can say house is really alive with one teenager!!Now she’s cooking since this morning: tomatoes soup of the garden and grappes juce! I was a little under the choc after the departure of our blogvikings, house was empty after so much fun and animation but now Mélissa takes all her place again!
Ah fleas are the worst possible insect. I would rather have cockroaches than fleas!!
I am glad they had a good time, and I know how it is to get your children back after vacation. My son and I have a very good relationship and I love to hear about his adventures. Please thank both girls for the use of their bedrooms this summer. We appreciate being able to borrow their private space.
Oh my, I’m so glad that we didn’t have that heatwave when we were there, it was enough with the hot weather we did have!!!!!!
It has been raining here today and it feels cold after have been in France.
So, it sounds like Melissa had a wonderful trip! Marvelous!
Oh, how I remember that bottle of Dom well…. and missing it almost as much as I miss you two….
Yes Diane, I hate fleas too!
I think this trip through Le Portugal was very nice for her because the conditions were difficult and now she can realise life is beautiful at home! But she loved this wild life sleeping sometimes under the stars or in fields!
She was so proud you liked her room!
I will keep this bottle as the proof and the symbol of our first gathering!
At the end of summer often we need automn, the indian summer to make we can again move without problems!
Claudie, I arrived here from RennyBA’s post « Montreux»
Oh please do not tell about the ‘hot weather’ because it is very hot this summer. I always thought about hiding in the frige as illustrated in the cartoon but oh we have work to do (for life) so I wonder when will they make a ‘civil fashoined’ version of space suites so we can wear it
When you long for a fridge, we long for a warmroom.
Do you think how it is to have kids back from Travel?
Hehehehe – it’s so typical;-))
We miss you
Tor and Anna
big hugs
Very humorous cartoon. We too here in Western Canada are having a heatwave. Yesterday was rediculously hot for the 3 of September, 36 degrees celsius!!! Good thing for us that we have air conditioning, otherwise it would be unbearable. I am grateful that today is somewhat cooler, still warm though, in the mid-20s. All the best.
